College Communications Offers Social Media Workshops for Faculty, Staff, Students
Social media: It’s more than just a tool for teenagers and the President of the United States. The various platforms are powerful communications tools – channels through which we elevate Davidson College’s profile and tell the college’s stories to national and international audiences.
Please join Social Media Manager and Digital Content Strategist Nathan Hunerwadel for a workshop Thursday, Sept. 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the 900 room of the Alvarez College Union. He will discuss the college’s social media strategy and the roles you and your department can play within it. He will walk through strategies for quickly growing an audience, measuring the reach of your message and understanding what techniques worked.
Nathan also will share social media resources, guidelines and policies and will allow ample time for questions and answers.
The workshop is open to all faculty, staff and students. If social media is a part of your communications strategy (or should be), plan to attend and bring along anyone in your department who also plays a role in publishing, monitoring, analyzing, designing or otherwise contributing to your social media sites.
Additional platform and skill-specific workshops will be planned following this workshop.
