Although several gadgets and software programs will be emerging in 2015, such as the Apple iWatch, Google Glass, and iTwin Connect. One of the most exciting and most anticipated innovations of 2015 is the increasing Wi-Fi performance. New standards such as Wave 2 802.11 ac routers will be hitting the shelves enhancing speeds and meeting increased Wi-Fi demands.
These new routers will use the less-crowded 5 GHz frequency band and will support new technology, allowing them to send multiple spatial streams to multiple clients simultaneously at a maximum efficiency.
“The aim of the new standard is to quadruple wireless speeds to individuals claims and not just to increase the overall speed of the network.” Eventually, Wave 2 802.11 ac will become 802.11ax in 2019, creating Wi-Fi connection speeds up to 10.53Gbps. A connection speed far faster than what we have today.
