As digital media becomes more and more predominant in day to day activities, it’s no wonder digital warfare has begun. As of recent, ISIS has used digital media to promote fear and dominance over the rest of civilization. They can thank the digital age for helping them promote and advance fear into people across seas in a mere few seconds.
Other instances such as the Sony hack have caused concern for security breeches in the digital age. As more and more digital advances are made, greater opportunities are given to terrorist organizations to use digital media to incite fear and dominance. It is a new age and a new type of warfare through the digital world. Although perhaps this warfare is seemingly less consequential than that involving guns, digital warfare will be able to reach a larger audience and effect large amounts of people with the simple click of a button.
